Why Does Windows Perl Not See Jpeg
The aim and function of the Nuraghe Nuraghe Diana
Even today, after 3000 years of their construction, no one knows exactly the true function of Nuraghes.
Some argue that they are temples (Pittau), others that are astronomical, and others (wrongly in my opinion, at least in most cases) watch-towers, forts and ramparts. Among our most distinguished professors there who has elevated them to role-holding forts (Ugas), or fortified settlements (Lilliu).
Some people then, as our Prime Minister, who thought they were silos, warehouses and banks, once again confirming the strictly materialistic view of those who have established.
Sui Nuraghi (o Nuragi/Nurachi/Norachi/Noraxi/Nuraghes ecc) si sono costruite le teorie più assurde e fantasiose.
Da chi li vede come porte spazio/dimensionali (stargates!) a basi di atterraggio per gli Ufo (!) sino a chi li reputa costruiti da innominati giganti senza nome (non me ne voglia chi crede realmente a tutte queste ipotesi).
Rimanendo con i piedi per terra, c'è chi ha pronunciato teorie più "realistiche" ma non meno assurde di quelle sopraelencate.
Vista la brevità della trattazione non mi soffermerò sulle ipotesi (perchè in fin dei conti certezze ve ne son poche) sull'edificazione, modifica e sviluppo del "modello" del Nuraghe, accettando come base di studio il nuraghe monotorre truncated cone at a Tholos, or, exceptionally, two tholoi overlapping. Why
these incredible buildings and still escape with a rating? Why you can not understand their role, or at least the reason that prompted our primitive ancestors to their building?

The notorious loopholes, described by archaeologists as "useful for the crossfire," or the "barrage" (words from the Second World War are more likely ...!) vents, light sources, or often willingly and some type of bond that still has to be analyzed archaeoastronomical case .
The small interior spaces (stairs, mezzanines, tholoi, niches) do not, often, more than a certain number of people to move freely without bumping into each other all the time. The lack of port makes

Il ridotto volume della struttura fà si che essa sia difficilmente difendibile da un attacco su più direzioni, senza contare che nel caso in cui i difensori avessero deciso di chiudersi nella "fortezza" per difenderla, le possibilità stesse di morire per fame, affumicamento o asfissia sarebbero state notevoli.
L'uso stesso delle murature, spesso ciclopiche (almeno alla base) non trova finding a possible use as a defensive tool of the Nuraghe. Two points

The use of such advanced architecture makes no sense in a model that includes the use of the same structure as "defensive" (from what?).

Dear members and supporters, as every year comes the time of the budget as per statute (31 December). A day is to meet the Board of Directors to prepare the draft and then the shareholders' meeting to decide the matter.
This year, the statutory procedure, for the reasons that there are from 14 Lanes July 2008, can not be met in a sense.
We hope that 2010 is a year of sharing with all the honest and capable people who want to spend some of their time to make Lanes Pro Loco and his friendly and helpful to others.
Of course we expect that the favorable moment to renew the youth charged with serious preparations and are not influenced by those few "mercenaries."
With years and experience had initiated an orientation MISUSE Pro Loco "serious" situations with a view to create an advantage for our young people (civil service, economic and tourist promotion of the old town, right channels for conveying the attraction tourists and especially investors, creating jobs in the logo, and so on.
We feel that some of you are laughing or they say they are idiots, while the mercenaries of the above have concocted for "honor" these noble ideas.
We are aware that it is very easy to stay out, for the simple reason of not "arguing" with anyone.
all be Facebook friends and greet on the street just because you do something for others??
Let's get a concrete answer.
We think of you personally as well as young people we also think our children: they will do tomorrow in a world where all people with all there is to simply do nothing?
we'll sing we did, siamo stati fermi per capire e far capire, adesso aspettiamo le Vostre risposte, le idee, anche le critiche se sono in prospettiva futura.

Maternity Jean Stretcher
The Nuraghe Diana, one of the jewels of archaeological Quartu, the only South Sardinia Nuraghe to be still intact, until recently, also visited internally, it is unusable and inaccessible. Lack the funds for safety measures and precautions taken sin'ora ono s been absolutely too low, so that the wooden beams used to hold the entry are rotten and consumed.

Building land - the base - a

Save the Roman Sardinia: a realistic picture of the state of things.
Not long ago I happened to read on the Internet a "picture" just and merciless, the current status of the archaeological heritage of Roman civilization in Sardinia.
I wanted to post this report on the blog because it can only make us all more aware of our goods are seen as archaeo-tourism "from outside", for us who are so addicted and accustomed to see them (but mostly to see the havoc that continue to perpetrate against us).

Of Caecilius Optatus: Nella costa meridionale della Sardegna sono visitabili siti archeologici (quasi tutti di originaria età punica), dei quali residuano però reperti quasi esclusivamente romani, se si escludono i resti dei tophet che, scoperti sul luogo, sono tati trasportati al Museo di Cagliari, o in parte riprodotti in piccoli musei locali.
E' il caso di Nora , su di un promontorio, di cui rimangono resti di mosaici, un teatro romano di età augustea/adrianea molto piccolo del quale è conservata la cavea, al momento non accessibile.
Le spoliazioni subite dall'abitato lo hanno reso scarno , per cui la gradevolezza del sito dipende especially being located on a promontory from which you can easily reach the beautiful surrounding sea. A Pula

Much more impressive is the temple of Antas , located inland, 10 km above Iglesias, not far from Fluminimaggiore.
In a really beautiful natural setting, rich green , is located in an imposing temple of solitude Roman (Augustan), restored by Caracalla (part of the inscription is preserved), dedicated to Sardus Pater Babai.
It 's a place of worship attended since the ninth century. a. C, where the Punic built a temple that the Romans later modified, the deity was appunto il Sardus Pater, in origine Babai, quindi aveva una funzione di aggregazione per l'isola.
Il luogo fu scoperto dagli archeologi a fine '800 e sottoposto a restauro che lo ha riportato in discrete condizioni.
Vale il viaggio; si possono anche visitare le cave di pietra adoperate dai Romani per tagliare i blocchi di pietra ed i resti di un villaggio di età nuragica, abitato fino al IV secolo d.C..
Cagliari , antica Karales/Karalis, conserva sparsi i resti dell'età imperiale, quando fu la residenza del governatore (proconsole o procuratore, a seconda del controllo senatorio o imperiale).
In città - anzi nel porto - era distaccata un'unità della Classis Praetoria Misenensis and has identified several funerary inscriptions of classiarii.

The amphitheater was the subject of much criticism and a restoration is very disappointing, being all covered bleachers modern, which have obscured the original ones carved into the rock.
Worth a visit the beautiful church of San Saturnino, the sixth century, the oldest of Sardinia, located in an area of \u200b\u200bthe necropolis, excavated, and walkable.
pity that it is open only on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 9 to 13.00
The Archaeological Museum è la croce e la delizia degli appassionati di archeologia , poichè raccoglie i pezzi più importanti ritrovati non solo in città, di età punica e romana.
La tragedia vera sono le condizioni in cui è gestito il complesso , che sembrano essere quelle degli anni '60.
A parte la gentilezza del personale , caratteristica veramente commovente riscontrabile in tutte le persone, sia in città sia nei luoghi di mare, le strutture - tutte rigorosamente con evidenziazioni stringatissime solo in italiano - necessitano di una ricollocazione che ne valorizzi l'importanza.
Per restare all'età romana, il Museo conserva tre diplomata di auxilia e di classiarii dell'età di Nerva e di Adriano, nascosti in teche di vetro assieme ad altri oggetti e per niente leggibili (le dimensioni sono di 12 x 10 circa cm.).
Manca un evidenziatore che riporti il testo, manca anche un'indicazione specifica dei diplomi, oggetto di studi da parte di Le Bohec, giusto per citarne uno.
Le più importanti iscrizioni rinvenute sono appoggiate tutte assieme, senza precisazioni circa l'età o il testo; alcune relative a militari, oggetto anch'esse di studi specifici, giacciono antistanti l'ingresso per terra, anche di lato, tanto che all'inizio pensavo fossero dei calchi messi apposta !
Si tratta di stele funerarie importanti per lo studio dell'esercito in Sardegna, poichè da esse si ricavano alcuni dei nomi dei reparti di auxilia operanti in loco tra il I e il III sec. d. C. : uno ad esempio consente di risalire ad una Cohors Aquitanorum mai altrove menzionata.
Di questo testo della fine del I sec. d. C. stupisce la semplicità del latino adoperato per ricordare Rufus Valentinus, Fabusi f(ilius), morto a 30 anni dopo 11 di stipendia, ricordato dal fratello Spedius (foto 3).
Un'altra iscrizione dedicatoria, mutila, ricorda un tale Caecilius Metellus, M(arci) f(ilius), proconsul, il quale aveva restaurato ambulationes (siamo in età tiberiana; il proconsole apparteneva ancora alla gloriosa famiglia dei Caecilii Metelli).
Among other findings, as well as integrating tophet excavated and rebuilt, stands a statue of magnitude loricate little more than Nature Drusus Minor, son of Tiberius, almost intact, was found in the hole Sulcis current S. Antioco, from which even the heads of Tiberius and Claudius.
The museum bookshop is poor , but you could not hope to better data quality management.
Needless to say, still worth a visit (if possible no one in the afternoon, under an African heat of 36 °, as it is on top of the Castle, situated on a hill ).

Cities all over the country have become militarized.
This is in clear contradiction with the most basic forms of democracy and freedom, as well as being clearly contrary to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution (Ghanoon assassi-e-) of the Islamic Republic Iran.

Iran alongside the men and women fighting for freedom
Be supportive people who feel like they own the fate of all humanity it means taking sides without hesitation on the side of women and men who bravely in Iran are struggling for freedom.
Millions of people are expressing their protagonists with the direct initiative, recapturing the spirit of the revolution in '79 that led to the fall of the dictatorship of the Shah of freedom and whose bodies were later betrayed by his head and suffocated.
Schierarsi vuol dire immedesimarsi nella lezione di impegno e coraggio che ci stanno trasmettendo scendendo nelle strade, salendo sui tetti, inventandosi i modi più svariati per protestare e comunicare aggirando l’asfissiante censura e sfidando la tremenda repressione dello Stato reazionario e militarista iraniano. Questo esempio e coraggio meritano il nostro appoggio e impegno di solidarietà.
Per questo vale la pena fare la cosa giusta, scegliendo di mobilitarsi il 18 luglio al fianco di questa lotta, come principio di un impegno solidale che dovrà continuare e moltiplicarsi nei prossimi mesi.
